Job Summary College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) is seeking a Part‑Time Yoga Instructor to teach community yoga classes. Classes are offered based on student enrollment, and additional sessions may be added if demand increases. The instructor will provide an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment that promotes wellness, flexibility, and stress management. Typical Job Functions Teach yoga classes as scheduled, with frequency dependent on student enrollment and program needs. Plan and deliver engaging yoga sessions suitable for a variety of experience levels. Demonstrate proper yoga techniques and ensure the safety of participants during class. Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate individual needs and abilities. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Maintain a consistent schedule and communicate effectively with CEI staff regarding class logistics. Encourage participation and help support the growth of CEI’s wellness programming. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Certified Yoga Instructor with a 200‑hour certification or comparable teaching experience. Previous teaching experience, preferably in a community or educational setting. Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor H‑1B Visas). Additional Desired Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt instruction for a diverse student population. Reliable, professional, and committed to student success. Bilingual (Spanish). Physical Demands Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not necessarily from occasional temperature changes. On‑site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. In addition, yoga instructors must be able to: Demonstrate yoga postures, which requires regular standing, bending, stretching, and balance. Safely move between floor and standing positions. Verbally and physically cue proper alignment and movement for participants. Assist students with safe modifications, which may involve light physical guidance. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours. Background Investigations Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
