Denmo has 210,000 subscribers on YouTube in 1 year, and is growing fast in the niche.

About the role

Requirements:

• Create High-Quality Video Edits for YouTube

Use storytelling and high-retention editing to make highly engaging and entertaining educational videos.

Video Length: 8-20 minutes long

Types of edits:

• Animations/graphics for titles, text, diagrams, images
• Stock footage/b-roll of Denmo, and the subjects he talks about
• Sound FX and music
• Filters and effects
• Memes, comedy
• Retention based edits to keep viewers engaged

Video editing style examples:

• Dan Koe
• Iman Gadzhi
• Ali Abdaal
• Alex Leon

Your main responsibility is to turn the current raw video footage/pre-cut video footage into a long-form video. This includes using stock footage, graphics, animations, music, sound effects and editing strategies to keep the retention high. You will be required to edit 1-3 videos/week.

Working Hours:

You will be working between 10-30 hours per week, depending how much time you have available (part-time or full-time). We can give more work if your schedule allows it.

Hours: Flexible (timezone differences are okay) but generally available monday-friday between 10am - 10pm EST.

Help us keep making great videos for our audience. Suggest video ideas, concepts, titles and other things that help videos get more views.

Your 2nd responsibility will be to analyze and monitor each post's performance in real-time and offer recommendations and adjustments based on the data.

• Optimize the team workflow

Building a cooperative environment so that everything runs nice and smooth. We want this to be very easy for you!

Your 3rd responsibility is to keep in touch with the rest of the team to help enhance our workflow. That includes time-stamping the raw content, curating videos, extracting scripts and other tasks assigned by the head of the team.

Daily responsibilities:

Note - you may be assigned other tasks not included here.

• Attend weekly team calls with the Team and check in with the head of content throughout the week
• Maintain a regular weekly upload schedule for the accounts. For example, exporting 1-3 videos per week & be available for feedback & revisions.
• Keep up with what's relevant and stay on top of the news with the ability to react to trends in the brand's tone of voice
• Monthly progress reporting

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Take stock footage/b-roll from Google Drive, Social Media & YouTube of Jack Denmo to use as B-roll/stock footage
• High-volume output: 2 YouTube (videos)/week is the current goal
• We have a tight release schedule, so they need to be delivered 2 days ahead of the video posting, so we can fix if necessary.
• Subtitling every video (we have software for this)

About you

• You need to be able to learn from other YouTube videos to recreate similar styles
• You know how to capture ATTENTION with your edits.
• You know how to remove things that are not needed from the raw footage you are given.
• You must stay up to date on what topics are trending.
• You have an understanding for attention-economy and keep up to date with editing styles.

Technical Requirements:

• High-speed internet connection
• Sufficient hardware for video editing
• Professional editing skills (Premiere, FinalCut or DaVinci)
• Fluent English skills
• Be able to reply fast for revisions (within reason, we will set based on your time zone)

What's in it for you?

You will have consistent work- we guarantee 8-10 videos per month minimum.

You will be paid in USD for each video separately, but we can also make deals for salary in future as well.

$50 - $150 USD per video depending video length & quality of work.
