Position Overview\n

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with a specialty in Emergency Room (ER) care. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and involves rotating night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population within a unique care setting.

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

• Provide patient assessments and implement nursing care plans in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed.
\n
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Document patient information accurately using the Epic charting system.
\n
• Float between the Immediate Care Center (ICC) and Emergency Department (ED) as required.
\n

\n\nQualifications\n

\n
• Registered Nurse with a valid state license.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required.
\n
• Experience with the Epic charting system is mandatory.
\n
• Current certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
\n
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is preferred.
\n

\n\nPreferred Skills\n

\n
• Experience in pediatrics and adult emergency care.
\n
• Familiarity with a variety of patient diagnoses including sickle cell crisis, abdominal pain, and respiratory infections.
\n
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration.
\n
• Knowledge of emergency medications and management of dysrhythmias.
\n

\n\nWork Environment\n

This role occurs within an Immediate Care Center that manages both urgent and non-urgent conditions, generally providing care to stable patients. The nursing team works under the supervision of Emergency Department physicians and is supported by a collaborative team, including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and various support services.

\n\nOrientation and Training\n

A comprehensive orientation program of 76 hours will be provided to ensure that all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for this role.
