The Information Security Analyst Internship will support Seneca’s IT department by monitoring, testing, and maintaining security infrastructure, applications, processes and procedures in order to protect corporate information assets from cyber threats. Some of the technologies that this position will be involved with include SIEM, IPS, network filtering, software patching, and vulnerability management.

The Information Security Analyst Intern will serve as an integral member of the Corporate IT Security team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

• Security Console Monitoring, Alerting and Reporting.
• Security Agent Monitoring and Inventory Reconciliation.
• Security Vulnerability Remediation.
• Information Security Metrics & KPI Reporting.
• Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs.
  

• The candidate must be a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems; preferred concentration in Cybersecurity (familiarity with SIEMs & Vulnerability/Risk Management).
• Familiarity with computers with an understanding of basic office automation and application development concepts is required.
• Willingness to learn security dashboards and consoles to perform triage investigations into events or alerts is essential.
• Familiarity with the concepts of patch management and malware identification in antivirus software is important.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
