Safety Coordinator

Are you passionate about creating safe work environments and building a career in construction safety? We're looking for a Safety Coordinator who will play a key role in implementing and maintaining safety programs across our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits, ranging from small projects to complex builds, to ensure compliance with company, state, and OSHA standards.
  • Identify and document safety hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records, including inspection reports, incident documentation, and training logs.
  • Respond to on-site emergencies and assist with accident investigations, including preparing reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Support and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Mentor and coach less-experienced safety team members to strengthen overall safety culture.
  • Use sound judgment to make day-to-day decisions and collaborate with management on critical safety matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in construction safety, including hands-on training experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Sciences-or equivalent field experience.
  • CHST or ASP preferred; CPR and First Aid required; OSHA 10/30/40-hour certifications required.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 and state construction safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with field teams and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online safety resources.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
