Job Details

Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm 7:00 am

The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Fish Memorial - 1055 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL 32763

Responsibilities

To utilize the nursing process in the direction and administration of the Obstetrical, or Newborn plan of care as appropriate.

The Registered Nurse will ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care as defined by AdventHealth standards of nursing care and is consistent with the therapies of other disciplines.

• Formulates, implements and evaluates an individualized plan of care for each patient, based on identified needs/problems, in collaboration with the patient/significant others.
• Assures the implementation of the prescribed medical regimen, including but not limited to: Administration of all IVs, blood and blood products, in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
• Assures the accurate processing of physicians' orders, including but not limited to: Documentation of all verbal and telephone orders on the Physicians' Order Sheet, indicating the date and time received.
• Assures the documentation of the patient's response to nursing plan of care in all areas of the medical record, in compliance with established nursing standards and protocols.
• Prescribes delegates and coordinates all nursing care as defined by and provided throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

• Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma
• Current and active State of Florida or Multistate Nursing license
• Two (2) years of NICU experience
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) required after 90 days

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• At least one-year experience in an area of Obstetrical/Perinatal Nursing
• National Certification in area of practice
