Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Developer with extensive PostgreSQL expertise to join our global development team. This hybrid role will be based in our Hoffman Estates, IL office. Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentorship to development team members, helping them grow in their careers and reach optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, and extend new and existing products.
• Plan, design, develop, document, test, deploy, and support both new and existing modules.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
• Suggest and implement improvements to current products and processes, ensuring innovation and efficiency.

Experience

• At least 8 years of proven experience in software development, with a focus on the design, development, and release of products.
• Strong background in large/enterprise application development.
• Proven success in product development lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Strong communication skills with experience engaging global cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading and motivating teams to achieve optimal performance.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL including maintaining and modifying data sets, tuning, and performance analysis.
• Design and implement ETL procedures for data intake from multiple applications into Data Warehouses.
• Experience designing and developing data models, and maintaining data marts, meta-data, and business intelligence platforms.
• Solid understanding of BI tools and industry trends in data analytics and reporting.

Additional Skills

• Strong problem-solving, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with source control systems (Bitbucket) and project management tools (JIRA).
• Strong understanding of programming logic concepts and application design techniques.
• Ability to adapt to changing technology and shifting priorities.
