PARAPROFESSIONALS – Westville, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking multiple paraprofessionals for a private special education school located in Westville, NJ for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. The goal of this role is to promote child growth by providing academic, behavioral/emotional, and physical support to the student(s). There are multiple openings working as a classroom aide along with the classroom teacher and providing one to one support in small group settings within the classroom. Must be comfortable with assisting in toileting. Must be comfortable working with students of special needs.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Assist student in daily living activities
• Supervise student in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in behavior management
• Experience with 1-1 care a plus!
• Experience with children a plus!
• Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.
