Overview Hazleton, PA Compensation Starting pay rate $29.11 per hour - $1 differential for evening shift Add EXTRA money to your paycheck by referring friends & family Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases Shift/Schedule 10 hr night shift Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Prescription drug coverage 401K with a company match New Hire Wellness Bonus Healthcare and Dependent day care flexible spending accounts Corporate discounts Responsibilities Diagnose and repair faulty production and related plant equipment with minimal supervision using schematics, manuals and drawings; diagnose and repair electro‑mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems, and understand preventative maintenance strategies Identify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in requisition for spare parts orders Know spare parts locations in storerooms and follow withdrawal and return procedures Possess general working knowledge of machine shop equipment Be team‑oriented with leadership qualities capable of leading co‑workers in assigned tasks Maintain necessary records and established maintenance procedures Maintain a clean, safe working environment Perform additional duties assigned by maintenance supervisor Other duties as necessary Technical Competencies Administrative: Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems. Communication/Teamwork Ability to communicate effectively and work closely as part of a cross‑functional team Ability to create an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust and teamwork Ability to multi‑task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure Safety Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures. Quality Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant. Technical Knowledge Demonstrates an advanced comprehensive knowledge of entire process from concept to commercialization. Operate Equipment Operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently Utilize standard hand tools Operate basic machine shop equipment Maintenance/Repair Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and skills Thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capability of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities Qualifications Education & Experience Three to five years of experience in a related field Mechanical pretest to employment High school diploma/equivalent required Completion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with concentration in electro‑mechanical courses desired Ability to read and use precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings Must be able to pass multi‑choice with handwritten section test ADA – Essential Functions Work an 8, 10 and/or 12‑hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods Climb Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
