Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We're seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacistto join a large munity hospital in Montgomery, AL on a travel (or local) contract. This flagship facility offers a wide range of services including trauma, NICU, and stroke care.
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off | Shift :Days,10:00 am 9:00 pm (weekends 9:00 am 8:00 pm)
Type: 13-week travel contract (with potential for extension)
Setting: Inpatient
Hospital : 492-bed facility
Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead pharmacist on-site during shifts
Verify and process medication orders, including sterile pounding review
Provide operational support across inpatient areas, including remote order coverage for sister hospital overnight
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, providers, and medical staff
Ensure pliance with hospital policies and standards of care
Requirements:
Active Alabama Pharmacist license (must be obtained prior to start)
Minimum 2+ years of recent hospital pharmacist experience
Strong independent practice skills, able to triage and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting
NICU experience preferred
Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Omnicell, and pharmacy surveillance software a plus
Department Support & Technology:
Multiple pharmacists and technicians on staff during the day
EMR: Cerner
Automated dispensing: Omnicell
Sentri 7 (pharmacy surveillance)
