Responsibilities

The Front Desk Secretary position is a full-time position.

Assists the Director/Supervisors by providing the highest level of customer service and support to referral agencies and internal Departments to facilitate access to treatment. Duties shall include, but not limited to, providing supportive contact with patients and families; Responsible for accurate and timely documentation; Coordinating with referral agencies in facilitating step down/direct transfers admissions to both our inpatient and/or outpatient continuum of care;  Providing excellent communication skills in fielding inquiry calls and/or referral information; Completing the clerical process for inpatient and outpatient admissions by obtaining signatures on forms, admitting into MS4, taking patient photos and uploading into HCS, printing photo labels, labeling patient charts, separating patient belongings, taking and documenting patient vital signs and escorting patients to the unit.  Additionally assists with the safety checks, the wanding and securing of belongings, and Q-15. Provides a smooth entry into the facility by assisting with the admission process.

Qualifications

Experience :

  • Clerical or adminisrative experience perferred
  • Two years of psychiatric experience, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • Five years of psychiatric experience without a Bachelor’s Degree.
