Position Summary

The Federal Superintendent will oversee field operations for federal vertical construction projects in Gainesville, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of federal construction requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR , DFARS , and agency-specific requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules and coordinate daily work plans.
  • Enforce safety standards in alignment with EM 385-1-1 , OSHA, and project-specific protocols.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and inspections.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and resolve field issues promptly.
  • Communicate progress and challenges to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years as a Superintendent on federal vertical construction projects (VA, USACE, NAVFAC preferred).
  • Education: High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
    • EM 385-1-1 training highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of federal contracting , quality control , and safety standards .
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
