About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President to provide strategic financial counsel, ensure the excellence of the institution's financial affairs, and lead administrative management. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the president, provost, senior colleagues, and trustees, and will be responsible for the oversight and support of integrated long-range financial, operational, capital, and facilities planning. This role is pivotal in shaping the vision and direction of the institution, particularly in the context of its strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. The CFO/EVP will also be tasked with careful stewardship of the company's assets, including budgeting, financial planning, business services, human resources, information technology, enterprise risk assessment, and compliance. Applicants for the CFO/EVP position at the company should be gifted senior leaders and managers with a proven track record in complex higher education settings. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in research-based academic environments. A deep understanding of the trends and issues facing higher education, as well as a respect for the culture and pace of the academy, is essential. The role requires a results-oriented individual with strong communication skills, and an MBA or relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
