LaSalle Network is a leading staffing, recruiting, and culture firm headquartered in Chicago, IL, with an expansive presence in Nashville. Our client is an expanding CPG company seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to lead their accounting, tax, and financial reporting operations. With a strong focus on innovation, expanding distribution channels, and customer satisfaction, the company has established a reputation for delivering some of the top products in their category and is now looking to expand internationally. This position sits in the metro Nashville area, in a hybrid in-office work model.

Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations, including monthly financial reporting, tax, treasury management, audit, and internal controls.

Lead a team of 10 accounting and finance professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities to ensure their success.

Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans that align with the company's strategic goals, objectives, and international expansion plans.

Analyze financial data and identify trends to inform strategic decision-making, support international expansion initiatives, and drive the company's growth.

Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to the board of directors, executive leadership team, and external stakeholders.

Build and revamp the company's accounting policies and procedures in accordance with international financial reporting standards and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Serve as the primary advisor to the executive leadership team on all financial matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Manage and mitigate financial risks associated with international expansion, including currency fluctuations, foreign exchange regulations, and geopolitical events.

Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA highly preferred

10+ years of progressive experience in senior-level financial leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in a complex and growth-oriented environment.

In-depth expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, treasury management, and international accounting standards.

Proven ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with overall business objectives and international expansion strategies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify key trends, and develop effective solutions.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of accounting and finance professionals.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.
