Title: IT Business Analyst

Location: Springfield, Illinois (Local Candidates Only)

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled IT Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience gathering requirements, mapping workflows, and translating business needs into functional specifications. The ideal candidate is proficient in Agile methodologies and capable of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical teams.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements sessions, and workflow documentation.
• Develop detailed Agile user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain product backlogs.
• Create process maps, functional specifications, and data flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to validate solutions.
• Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning and defect triage.
• Prepare user documentation, SOPs, release notes, and training materials.
• Support communication, rollout, and change management activities for technology deployments.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of IT Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise or public sector systems.
• Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies (user story writing, backlog grooming, sprint reviews).
• In-depth understanding of SDLC, data flows, and system integrations.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Visio, Lucidchart, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Strong communication, analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred

• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CSM, or SAFe certification.
• Experience with State of Illinois agencies or government programs.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or ERP systems.

Local to Springfield, Illinois is required.
